Our December 1st meeting put everyone on notice that winter had arrived with freezing rain overnight that made traveling hazardous. The 26 members and spouses that made the trek were treated to a great Christmas meal put on by the Ladies of the Legion. The Mart tables were a bit sparse, but there was still some money being exchanged.

Cathy Koolen presided over our meeting, and as with past Christmas's, she kept us entertained. We played Clock Bingo, had lots of laughs and everyone won a gold, or silver chocolate medal.

For our “Show and Tell Display” we asked our members to bring in their most precious timepiece and tell us why it was precious to them. Ted Arthur brought in a lever escape-ment mantle clock and Charlie MaGee brought in one of his favorite 400 day clocks that had a handle on top of the glass dome. Gerry and Cathy Koolen blew everyone away with their beautifully restored tower clock movement mounted on a really nice black walnut stand.

We were then treated to a wonderful roast pork and chicken dinner with all the fixings.

In keeping with the season of giving, our Chapter was able to make a $500 donation to the Legions Caring Cupboard and a cheque was presented by Don Sinclair and Cathy Koolen to Victor Comeau of the Legion.
